About MEDUMOND

When language is understood — but meaning is missed

Working with Arab patients is not always a language problem.

Some patients need an interpreter because they do not speak English fluently.

Others speak English fluently — yet communication can still break down because the cultural meaning behind a question, response, silence or decision is misunderstood.

MEDUMOND was created to close that gap.

A clinician-led clinical Arabic and cultural communication programme designed to help healthcare professionals understand how Arab patients communicate, build stronger rapport and navigate clinical interactions with greater confidence and cultural awareness.

Because effective communication is not only about understanding the words.

It is about understanding the patient.

MEDUMOND combines practical clinical Arabic with cultural competence and real clinical scenarios — helping healthcare professionals communicate more effectively with Arab patients whether an interpreter is required or not.
